Merry Christmas friends!



“Peanut” is still not that into Santa yet this year, but he still makes it fun.

I know lots of people like snow but I am not one of them. I only like it when it happens on my weekend and I don’t have to drive in it or worry about my daughter driving in it. I like it when it’s fresh and pretty and I can sit by the fireplace sipping coffee just peeking out at it now and again. I just don’t like winter the older I get…………..

Wow I completely skipped autumn on here just a few short days till it’s officially winter. I have many things to talk about that has happened since I posted last. A couple of them may need to be password protected. Facebook seems to take up my time but I won’t get rid of my blog. In the mean time I want to wish everyone and their families a very Merry Christmas.

Local artist succeeds doing what she loves….
They misspelled her name it’s Jessica not Jennifer but an honor all the same. She won four ribbons at the State Fair again this year.

So I am a day late………..
This week’s theme is “Suprise”.
I don’t know how much a suprise this is but did find it kind of funny. A pumpkin plant has been growing in the tree across the street all summer. Either a bird or a squirrel must have dropped the seed in a hollow of this old tree.

Don’t think we will see a pumpkin for halloween but it’s been fun watching it grow.

Today is my projected retirement date. I had 25 years of service on 2/14 but did not pay into retirement for the first six months of employment. I can go, but won’t just yet. What I think I can live on today won’t last tomorrow’s inflation. It’s a great feeling to say the least. I am thinking 27.5 years service seems to be that magic number so I am going to hang in there. You just never know what this or future Governors are going to try to change for state employee’s.
“Out Date” is inmate slang for parole. I am 51 and eligible to retire.
Life is good.

I had a really shitty week so glad that is over now.
My job has went from a four person operation down to three, you just have to do more. One has been on vacation, one has been out sick so that just leaves me to do what four people are suppose to do. With economy as bad I won’t bitch but it has been a long week alone…………

To add to this weeks aggravation the guy I car pool with has car trouble. I go back to check on him when I notice I don’t see him pull out behind me. His car wont start dead battery.I get out the jumper cables and he and another guy from work hook them up. Ok his now starts, I go to leave my car will not go in reverse.Something went hay wire with my cars computer. I am pissed to say the least, it’s only 10 months old. Long story short it did straightened out but think I am no longer going to be friends with this guy. His attitude about the my car acting up after helping him. I think they applied the cables wrong or something. You can’t loose a friend you never had……………..

I go to my second job last night and guess what came in on the truck? Christmas stuff already, no way!

I have another friend that said hey you have had a shitty week I want to make you dinner tonight. He’s an excellent cook and anything that I am not having to cook will be perfect. So I am off to go swimming, dinner tonight and brunch with some new friends in the morning. Yes I love the weekends…………..
